AC repair and HVAC service in Fort Myers
We repair, replace and maintain air conditioning for Fort Myers homes, mostly in south Fort Myers and the neighborhoods off Daniels Parkway, Six Mile Cypress and Summerlin Road. Call, text or use the chat button.

Where we work in Fort Myers
Fort Myers is the next stop north from Estero, up US 41 or I-75. Our Fort Myers work centers on the south side: Cypress Lake, Whiskey Creek, Iona and the communities along Summerlin Road, plus Gateway out east of the interstate.
We also work in the older neighborhoods off McGregor Boulevard, where the royal palms Thomas Edison had planted still line the road. Across the Caloosahatchee are Cape Coral and North Fort Myers, and those aren’t on our list.
Fort Myers has a wider mix of houses than Estero does, and that changes the first questions on a service call. In an older home we check the nameplate for the refrigerant and the age before anything else, because an R-22 system and a newer one call for different advice.
HVAC work we do in Fort Myers
AC repair
Warm air, short cycling, ice on the lines, water at the air handler. See our AC repair page for what we check.
New systems
Central AC, heat pumps and mini-splits, sized from a load calculation. More on our installation page.
Maintenance
Coil cleaning, drain flushing and a capacitor test before summer. Details on our maintenance page.
Heat pumps
The EIA counts about 31 percent of Florida homes heating with a central heat pump. We work on both the cooling and heating side.
How we check an AC repair before we leave
Fixing the part is half the job. The other half is proving the system cools again, so before we pack up we let it run and measure the air coming out of the vents.
In the photo, the thermometer reads 56 degrees at a ceiling supply vent. We compare a reading like that to the air going back into the return, check the refrigerant pressures one more time and make sure the drain is carrying water out.
If the numbers don’t look right, we keep looking. You shouldn’t have to call twice for the same problem.

Fort Myers weather and your air conditioner
The National Weather Service breaks the rainy season here into three parts. Late May through June brings the most severe storms, July into early September is the peak, and mid September into October winds down with tropical systems and the first cold fronts.
That whole stretch is hard on outdoor equipment. Lightning surges can damage electronics some distance from the strike, and a capacitor that has spent all summer in a hot cabinet is already worn. When a Fort Myers system quits during a storm week, those are the parts we test first.
Hurricane Ian did catastrophic damage in Fort Myers on September 28, 2022. If your outdoor unit sat in standing water or took a beating from debris that day and has run ever since, it’s worth having someone look at the coil, the electrical connections and the pad it sits on.
Older systems and R-22 in Fort Myers homes
Check the nameplate on the outdoor unit. If it lists R-22, the system is running a refrigerant that hasn’t been made or imported in the US since January 1, 2020. It can still be serviced with reclaimed supply, and a small repair that doesn’t touch the refrigerant can be well worth doing.
A big leak is a different conversation. Our guide on repairing or replacing an AC lays out how we weigh it, and if a new system makes sense, our installation page covers what happens next.

Questions we get
Do you cover all of Fort Myers?
We cover the city and south Fort Myers, including Gateway, Cypress Lake and Iona. Cape Coral and North Fort Myers are outside our area.
Do you work on homes in Gateway?
Yes. Gateway is in our service area, just north of the airport off Daniels Parkway.
Can you look at a heat pump that won’t heat?
Yes. Heat pumps run the same refrigerant circuit in both directions, so the same visit covers heating and cooling problems.
Is it normal for my Fort Myers AC to run all afternoon in summer?
On a hot, humid afternoon, long run times are normal. Short cycling, where it starts and stops every few minutes, or a house that never reaches the set temperature, is worth a call.
How do I book a visit in Fort Myers?
Call or text, or tap the chat button. Tell us your neighborhood and what the system is doing.
